MOMENT

September 22, 2009 · Leave a Comment

This is one of those moments where you know you will never be here again, with this person, in this place, at this time. This moment is important to you. Trying to hold on to it you close your eyes so quickly while hoping the person you are with doesn’t notice. You are doing this to pretend this moment in some alternate space will last forever. Or because not, you want this moment to at the least be an imprint in your memory.

You wonder what will happen to this moment, what will this moment be one month, one year from now? Will this moment still be something of forever or will new moments take its place?

These are the things you wonder about this moment.

PLANE

We lay in the field for hours. The clouds were passing quickly.

There was a plane flying overhead.

I imagined what those people in the plane were thinking.

I asked if you saw the plane. You replied yes and told me if those people in the plane had really great binoculars they could see us.

I smiled.
